First, apologies for our delay in updating everyone on the situation in Iowa. These legal proceedings, like most, have been slow and convoluted, so we wanted to hold off on sending out more information until we had a better idea of what exactly was going on.
After spending two and a half days in various parts of Iowa, Scott’s lawyer found out that her petition to have Scott released from Federal
custody was approved by the judge but that the prosecutor, Cronk, had appealed the decision. Now we have to wait until the appellate court reviews the decision on Monday to see whether he will be released. If Scott is released, he will be under house arrest and have to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet. Court documents relating to this are available here.
